Listener research bulletin supplements
Collection: BBC Listener Research Department Reports, 1937–c.1950 Volumes Listener research bulletin supplements
BBC WAC ref. R9/3: These supplements cover the period December 1945 to October 1952. Their purpose was, as stated at the head of the first one issued, because "The total number of panel reports issued each week has now increased to a point which makes it impracticable to include a list in the body of the LISTENER RESEARCH BULLETIN [BBC WAC ref. R9/1]. It is, therefore, proposed to issue a weekly SUPPLEMENT which will show, under the service of origin [e.g. Home Service], the names of all broadcasts covered by panel reports during the week with which the BULLETIN deals, together with the appropriate Barometer Figure, the Appreciation Index (revised basis), and report number. For more on the context of these bulletin supplements, please see "The good servant: the origins and development of BBC Listener Research 1936-1950" by Siân Nicholas, located in our detailed description section.

We were unable to find any results for your requested terms. Whilst we try our best to extract as much usable and searchable as possible, our primary resource collections have varying levels of available metadata and searchable OCR'd text depending on the nature of the document; please bear this in mind when searching, especially when looking for older resources. We recommend trying the following:
- Try a different combination of terms and queries to try and match your result.
- Use 'themes' or 'subjects' directly in your search query, e.g. "19th century colonial administration Africa" - 'Africa' being the broad subject.
- Use a broader search and use the filters on the left-hand side to refine your results.
